What to expect during your photo session
From the moment you make a booking inquiry the process to bringing your story to life, begins….
I’ll start by creating your personalised booking link which will include all the information you will need for our shoot. Once the retainer has been received then I’ll lock in your date and preparations can begin.
We’ll then collaborate to find your ideal location. This could be anywhere from forests in Te Awamutu, private farm in Paterangi to the lakes and parks of Cambridge. We can also consider the scenery in Hamilton or I can come to your home. Most my photo packages include up to 30km of travel from Te Awamutu.
That’s the hard part over! I’ll contact you a few days prior to our shoot to make sure we are good to go. You can also contact me anytime if you have any questions.
I have a very relaxed photoshoot style, especially with family sessions and like to go with the flow. But relaxed doesn’t mean unprepared!… Remember that questionnaire I asked you to fill out, this is my ultimate guide to bringing your session to life. From this, I can learn what your family likes and dislikes. Get pointers on how to make your kids smile and even what style of shoot you’re after. I would have also created a collection of posing ideas and prompts especially for your shoot.
I know it can be a little stressful and sometime out of your comfort zone to come to a photoshoot. Especially with kids. But I ask that you come with an open mind, trust the process and embrace any family chaos. I guarantee to always find the magic and It’s mostly the in-between moments that you haven’t thought about.
After our shoot, the exciting bit begins. I will deliver your preview photos within 3 – 6 weeks via a private online gallery. You then get to choose you favourites. Prints are included with all my shoot packages as well as digital’s. If you really can’t decide then you can upgrade to receive your full digital gallery. You can also order extra prints and other products in my store. Print orders are placed every Friday and will be delivered within 10 days or ordering.
I like to hand deliver my photos if you’re local to Te Awamutu. So don’t be surprised if you see me turn up on your front porch a few weeks after our shoot. If you’re not local, these will be posted directly to you.
